You might think, “I’m not an idiot!”, it does not matter though. It is all about the ease of use and the effectiveness after all, right? Do I think this is a good diet?

Low carb diet. Screw that! Do not let people tell you to starve your body of the nutrients it needs! You want your energy, right? Then read this.

I was overweight for the longest time. I was obese.

I have always read about different diet programs. I passed up all those diet pills in the supermarket. I have even purchased some of those diet pills but to no avail.

Your body needs carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals in order to function the way it was designed to. Therefore, all the above diets should be thrown in the garbage where they belong.

Then go for a walk, even a little walk will do your body good.

I have come across numerous fat loss programs and if you are willing to spend thousands of dollars on them and expect results (because you pay so much), you may be in for a great disappointment!. Sounds familiar and I was there.

So I scout for something simple, something that an idiot can follow. No complicated stuffs, no starving. Then I come across this fabulous program called the Fat Loss 4 Idiots. On first sight, hey I am not an idiot. On second thoughts, I want something for an ‘idiot’, something down-to-earth that works.

Three key points caught my attention. As a medical practitioner who loves to eat (I am from the homosapien family and behaves as one) and if you tell me: You cannot eat this and that, I think life will be miserable.

Attraction 1: Menu Generator

You input into a software program the food that you love to eat and the system will take care of your daily meals for 11 days as to what to eat. So you need not worry about how much calories you should put into your body. It will shift the calories so that the body system will burn the fats for you.

Attraction 2: Calorie Shifting

We like to eat the same food types daily thinking it’s low carb, low fat etc. Wrong! The systems uses a rotatation of eating pattern habits to maintain a high metabolism rate to achieve a fast fat burning proves. The above menu generator does the job for you. Now that is scientific. And I am a firm subscriber of science.

Attraction 3: You Eat 4 Meals A Day

I was skeptical at first but I actully started to lose fat with Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Here is my honest review.

You choose the food that you want and it will calculate the proper portions and you will drop the weight fast. The main purpose of this is to give your body the ability to lose fat quickly by eating the right kinds of food at the right times.

The program claims you can lose 9 pounds every 11 days. While some people might be able to reach this goal, some might not. No matter what, you will lose weight with the program. Just make sure you set smaller goals.

The Problems With Hoodia Gordonii – the “Miracle Weight Loss Supplement”

Hoodia Gordonii is one of the new weight loss fads that has been sweeping the nation lately. Some question if it really works, but that is the least of hoodia’s worries. It’s been proven time and time again through biochemical theory, lab controlled studies, anecdotal reports, and the fact that the San Bushman, the original users of hoodia, have already been using the plant for centuries that this plant does, indeed, work to reduce appetite.


However, a problem arises: The authenticity of the hoodia you are buying. Since hoodia is quite rare – the only known place to get the correct species of the plant is in the Kalahari Desert – and is in high demand, sellers are coming up with sneaky ways to trick customers into thinking that they actually get authentic hoodia.


The problem is it is quite difficult to tell who is selling genuine hoodia. Although a CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) certificate is required for a seller to sell hoodia, this does not mean that their hoodia is authentic, and buyers have no way of telling if their hoodia is authentic until they find out that it doesn’t work. Mike Adams at newstarget.com believes that up to 80% of hoodia sold is counterfeit.


In addition to that, he notes that many sellers can photoshop a competitor’s CITES, simply counterfeit a CITES, or send in a real batch of hoodia in order to get an authentic CITES and then sell customers fake hoodia. My advice, however, is to look for anecdotal reports of hoodia suppliers on the internet. You can do this by looking at the reviews of certain products on websites like amazon.com or by simply doing a search for “hoodia experience” in a search engine and looking for message boards/forums with people who have already tried certain hoodia products.


Well now, it’s fine and dandy that hoodia, assuming you find an authentic product, can reduce your appetite, but is that really that helpful? Among the people informed about weight loss (we actually call it “fat loss,” not “weight loss”), it’s known that simply starving yourself won’t accomplish your goals, which is what hoodia would do.


You must increase your calorie expenditure by doing some sort of aerobics in addition to increasing your muscle mass by incorporating weight lifting to actually achieve your goals and keep them. Hoodia may be slightly useful in causing an additional calorie deficit since about half of the calorie deficit you obtain should be through decreased calories and the other half through increased physical activity.


In contrast, however, you can easily control your appetite by drinking water or eating foods with a high satiety and a low amount of calories. A stomach full of gelatin has fewer calories than a stomach full of peanut butter.
