by Dr. Jerimiah Crossderd

The acai fruit is a tasteful, fresh, organic fruit that comes with a wealth of antioxidants. In order to prevent damage to the body as well as slow the aging process, antioxidants are needed as part of a regular diet.

When the body's cells consume oxygen, it creates free radicals (or by-products) that can cause a lot of problems to our body. Antioxidants play an important role in preventing, repairing, and removing the damage done by these toxic by-products. Having a daily supplement of antioxidants is the best way known to protect yourself from these harmful free radicals.

Terrible consequences can occur when free radicals are able to roam free in the body. These toxic by-products are the reason our DNA breaks down opening the door for cancer. free radicals can destroy our cells to the point where they break down so much they stop working.

Depending on where the damage was created by these toxic radicals, the range of destruction can lead to neurological damage all the way to hormonal problems. The acai berry produces enough antioxidants that when taken as a regular part of your diet can prevent and fight off these free radicals.

Research has shown for years that when antioxidants are taken on a regular basis, the body is able to repair and maintain its cellular strength from recent as well as future attacks from these dangerous free radicals.

Dr. Perricone is the one who introduced the mainstream audience to this amazing fruit by writing a book entitled, the Perricone Promise. In this book he writes that the acai berry is the most perfect food on the planet.

When it comes to a food that will make you look and feel young, Dr. Perricone says that the acai berry has all of the ingredients needed to accomplish this. Also, when looking for a diet that will revitalize your health and slow the aging process Dr. Perricone says look no further than the acai fruit berry.

The acai fruit is known as a super food that contains every nutrient your body needs in fighting harmful free radicals. If your goal is to improve your overall health, as well as strengthen and maintain your body, then you should look further into the numerous benefits of the this amazing fruit.

The Best Cellulite Treatment Is Amazingly Simple

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

by Lynne Bridges

You might be familiar with a variety of cellulite treatments currently available on the market. You know the ones - all the gadgets, creams and accessories that promise to erase cellulite for good. But did you know that it's possible to reduce cellulite naturally? Advertisements may suggest otherwise, but it can be done.

The truth is that manufacturers of such creams and gadgets advertise their products as the best solution for cellulite. So, it might come as a surprise to you that cellulite problems can be treated by incorporating certain changes in your lifestyle that make expensive and potentially harmful cosmetic procedures unnecessary.

It's your choice. You can undergo positive changes in your daily habits or continue following cellulite review after review and trying every new product that comes out. One way is definitely favorable to the other in my opinion.

There are no easy ways of developing healthy habits and it will undoubtedly be hard for you to follow certain restrictions. However, once you master these habits, you will reap enormous benefits in turn. What you need to do is to lose additional body fat and increase your muscle mass which will improve your cellulite problem significantly.

You can lose fat steadily by adhering to a healthy eating plan that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meats and proteins. Also include healthy fats but limit or eliminate the amounts of saturated, unhealthy fat calories. Stay away from white bread, sugar, cookies and cakes. Processed foods should be avoided whenever possible. In summary, eat clean.

Exercise is a must! In order to increase your muscle mass you must start on regular cardio and muscle building exercises. Cardiovascular training helps burn calories and also keeps your heart in shape. In due time, you will see the desired results. Choose exercises that address the spots worst affected by cellulite and help to firm them. Reduction is done by both toning and firming up the affected areas combined with actual fat loss.

Cellulite is dependent on fat, so reducing fat and building up of muscle mass encourages the disappearance of cellulite deposits. Lastly, drink lots of water and keep your system healthy and hydrated. Water intake flushes out toxins that lead to cellulite formation from your body as well as keeps your skin healthy and glowing. Good food habits and a regular exercise regime eliminate many other health problems that you may have faced, in addition to minimizing cellulite.

Practice these healthy habits to both reduce current and prevent future cellulite formation. You'll get the best results and improve your overall health at the same time.

Can You Lose Weight Where You Want?

If you have needless weight only in specified parts of your body, you still must look at yourself as a whole. It's not achievable to spot shorten; in other words, you can't dictate that you only require weight to come off one place or another. In most causes your so called "trouble spots" is where the fat will come off last, so be prepared to drop off weight in your fingers (rings fall off) and your face first. There is hope for losing that belly fat though.

Process Toward Making Muscle and Reduction Body Fat

If you work toward making muscle and shortening body fat you will finally undertake those trouble spots though, and develop a better physique in the process. Muscle tissue is active meaning it involves calories to be observed. If you were stranded without a food provision, eventually your body would turn to its own muscle tissue as a source of nourishment first (muscles are protein) while saving the fat stocks for last. Simply put, fat is nature's way of finding survival during times of famine. That's why the preponderance of heart loser kills someone who is hard malnourished. By building more muscle you become a more effective energy cutting machine which translates to mean you can eat more food! That to me is a good thing.

The More Active You Are, The More You Take to Eat!

That explains why some somebodies can eat so much more than others yet not have weight; your cost-effective energy burning friend simply has a better proportion of muscle to fat than you. Muscle is more dense than fat. It's often said that a pound of muscle is harder than a pound of fat, but the truth is a pound is a pound. What they mean is a one pound volume of muscle is a smaller package than a one pound volume of fat, or put another way, fat is wild and brushed while muscle is smooth and heavy.

How Lots You Weigh is Nonsense

That is why body weight as a number by itself is nonsense, but your proportion of fat to muscle is very most-valuable and worth passing to change. Strain to lessen your body fat and gain your muscle mass and you'll look better, you'll feel firmer and more alert and you'll simply be healthier.

You can mostly have your body fat sure at physical fitness centers and most gyms so ask about having it done. It's better to know you have 30% body fat and work to shorten it to 29, than not to know and only think in conditions of body weight. Most people who consider only of how much they weigh tend to do everything to reduce that weight, and it's usually at the expense of losing more rich muscle.

The better way to gain muscle and decrease fat is through a ordered work program. Start at whatever is your beginning, but do start.

Begin with an overall body conditioning type work out program, doing whatever you relish, whether it be a play, gardening, weight lifting, biking, hiking, or any other activity. Any physical movement you do on a regular basis looks as exercise even if it is doing washing or taking out the junk. Get as much as you can out of every task you do, and stop considering of it as a chore but or else as an chance to run your body.

Get Fit and Belly Fat Melts

It doesn't make sense to drive around and around in the parking lot looking for the closest space when you're on your way to run or walk on the treadmill. Why take the lift five flights every day at work and then pay a monthly fee to do the StairMaster after work? What if we all got to find out that our world is full of exercise equipment.

We could become so much more fit if we'd just start to notice all the opportunities for physical move we miss in the name of convenience. Look around and see if you can spot some exercise opportunities, and then get busy and get fit.Help to Reduce Belly Fat.

Muscle Building After Your 40th Birthday

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

by Ricardo d Argence

When it comes to work outs and staying in shape that age factor is a definite factor in how you will approach your fitness regimen, but they say that age is just a number. Some use being over the age of 40 as an excuse not regularly workout or live in a healthy style.

Regular exercise and staying fit are very important no matter what your age. If you approach weight training, diet and work outs the correct way you can maintain a remarkably healthy and fit body for many years, regardless of your age. There are many benefits of both weightlifting and bodybuilding. You can reshape your body, become healthier, increase bone density and weight loss.

It is no secret that people who keep physically fit also feel better about themselves and about life in general. People who exercise also experience the release of endorphins from the brain, which helps, maintain a sense of happiness and well-being.

When you are 40 years old and older you might want to make a couple of changes in your workout, but you do not have to be victim of the publicity about aging. With age, the muscles and joints become less supple, further necessitating appropriate amount of stretching and warm up before exercising.

A time frame of 15 minutes is needed for stretching routines so you can increase flexibilty and lessen the chance for muscle pain, sprains or other damage. Your muscles will become better conditioned the more complete you stretch.

Now you should do fifteen minutes worth of cardio exercises on an elliptical training machine, a stair stepper or an exercise bike. You are not attempting to reach your limit with this one; however, you do want your heart rate to increase and to continue to develop your limberness and flexibilty. This exercise will let your body know that you are serious about doing some work.

You will want to follow this warm up by doing reps with the correct weights, you should consider light weights for this workout, if in addition to this you are doing circuit training or a free weight routine you will not have the stress of heavy weights.

When using the pyramid system, you add reps but use less weight, then you start adding weight and decreasing the reps, which is how a lot of the bodybuilders do their workouts. Pay constant attention to your posture. This method of weightlifting has great success for those who want to add muscle and bulk to their bodies. Even if it means decreasing the weights or the amount of repititions, correct posture must be your main consideration. This maximizes your results and reduces your risk of injury.

You should train weights for about 30-45 minutes per session for at least 4 days a week. When you conclude your session of weight training, you may choose to do the cardio session again in order to tone your lungs and hearts; it's also a great way to wind down.

Two Fast Ways To Eliminate Thigh Fat

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

by Clayton Thomas

Do you want to lose that extra annoying flab on your thigh? It is possible, but if you think that you can lose thigh fat quickly with the help of quick weight loss pills or supplements, you are dead wrong! And if you thought that there is some special workout you could do to lose thigh fat, you are wrong again.

As a matter of fact, whether you want to lose thigh fat, belly fat, arm fat, or any other fat, there is no way for you to spot reduce certain areas of your body. You have to lose fat in all areas of your body. You can't pick and choose where you want to burn fat; your body will decide where to start for you!

Therefore, it only makes sense to do things that would help you burn fat from all parts of your body. Basically, you want to follow a healthy diet and do resistance training and cardio workouts! This is the only way to lose thigh fat, as well as all other body fat!

1. The diet: The diet you choose to follow for the purpose of weight loss is very crucial. If you choose low-calorie or low-fat diets, they won't help you burn fat because these diets don't boost your metabolic rate!

Far from boosting your metabolic rate, these diets actually slow down your metabolism! Here is how: with a low-calorie or low-fat diet, your body doesn't get enough nutrition. Consequently it believes that it is going to die out of starvation. It immediately stops the fat burning process by slowing down your metabolic rate, and stores the fat deposits so that it could survive during starvation.

With low-calorie, low-fat, and starvation diets, you will most likely lose some weight, but as soon as you stop following that diet and return to your prior eating habits, you will gain back all of the weight that you lost, if not more!

So what types of diets should you choose? You should choose a diet that includes eating fruits and vegetables for sure. Natural fruits and vegetables are not only great for increasing your metabolism; they are also extremely effective at suppressing your hunger!

But healthy diet plans may not always have all of the best traits that a good diet should have. Good diets should allow you to cheat at least once a week. You can use these cheat days to eat whatever you want. You may be afraid that taking a short break from your diet will cause weight gain, well you'd be wrong. It will actually help you lose fat by increasing your metabolism because it keeps your body from getting stuck in a routine, which can slow your metabolism!

Apart from that, it would also satiate you mentally so that you can focus on your diet plan for the rest of the week without any craving for forbidden foods.

2. Exercises: While a diet plan alone is enough for significant weight loss, many people try adding some intense workouts into their routines so they can accelerate the weight loss process! Strength and cardio training are the best ways increase weight loss. With strength training, you will not only burn fat, but you also add valuable lean muscle to your body.

Lean muscle is really important to overall health. It makes your body stronger and also helps you burn fat, even while you're resting. As a matter of fact, you can easily burn around fifty more calories per day for every pound of muscle! This is because muscles need more calories in order to sustain themselves.

Follow these two tips and see how easily you get rid of thigh fat!

Simple Steps to Stress Relief

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

by Patrick Glancy, BCH

Relaxation plays in a key roll in leading a healthy happy life. Without relaxation it is difficult to stay on task, make good decisions, and be productive. Relaxation also has many physical benefits which include lower blood pressure, reduce muscle tension, and increased blood flow to muscle groups to name a few. Some people think relaxation takes hours, but relaxation can take place in as little as ten minutes a day.

Work, marriage and money are just a few things which can cause stress in peoples day to day lives. Often people get so busy and think they have no time to relax. They can also be fooled into thinking that they need to do something extreme or go someplace such as going on vacation to relax. These people are mistaken, relaxation can happen at home, in the office or while driving. The key is to train the mind to relax.

Finding your method of relaxation might be more difficult for some than others, but it is easy, just think about what you enjoy most. Maybe you like surfing the web, reading, meditating or walking. Any of these activities can be a relaxation method and can be scaled down to ten minutes.

Watching TV, listening to music, surfing the web and reading all offer a break from regular day to day situations. They each create an alternative world that is entirely your own. Your mind visually escapes into a place that is different and exciting instead of dull, boring and always the same as so many of us think our lives are.

Meditation can help you learn to reflect on situations and to control your breathing to calm your mind. These techniques need to be learned and practiced in order to achieve the maximum result. Once mastered, you can relax at the drop of a hat and find inner control in as little as ten minutes.

The gym, fitness classes and general exercise appeal to many as a form of relaxation. You have a choice between running, walking or lifting weights. Others might prefer group fitness in the form of a cycling, kick boxing or tai chi class. Running and walking burn off built up energy and are a great stress reliever, however not everyone wants to run a marathon. For them there are other classes and their purpose is relaxation, such as yoga which focuses on relaxing the mind and body at once. Many people choose to skip the classes and gym all together and simply walk their dogs in the park which offers equally as much stress relief.

The most important thing to remember when it comes to relaxation is practice. It is important to have patience! Listen to your mind and body, learn what is working for you and make note of what is not. Keep yourself motivated by remembering you are on your way to a happier and healthier lifestyle, also remember how good it feels to be doing something enjoyable.

Teaching your body something new is always a challenge, however once you get the hang of it, it is like riding a bike, your body won't forget how. It is important to find an activity which you enjoy and know you will stick with, but you must make a conscious effort to remind and train your body to relax while performing this task. It may take time, but in the end the rewards will be fantastic for your mind, body and lifestyle.

The Famous Master Cleanse Recipe

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

by Linda Riley

Master cleanse diet is a diet that requires the individual to drink lemonade cocktail for as long as the master cleanse program lasts. The recipe behind the master cleanse diet is very easy to follow and formulate. All you need to do is just to drink at at least 60 ounces of lemonade a day but limit yourself to 120 ounces. As master cleanse is a process of removing the waste in your body, you will experience lots of water loss. Hence, you also need to drink lots of water to prevent dehydration. A simple guideline to follow on the amount of water to consume is to drink an equivalent of your weight in water.

If you want to make a glass of master cleanse, you will need 10 ounces of filtered water, two table spoon of maple syrup, two tablespoon of lemon juice and 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. However, if you prefer to make 60 ounces at one go, you will need 60 ounces of filtered water, 12 tablespoon of maple syrup, 12 tablespoon of lemon juice and teaspoon of cayenne pepper. One small tip is to use freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of canned or processed one.

Another factor to note is that you must use organic grade B maple syrup and not sugar filled syrup. And although the Cayenne pepper looks as if it can be excluded, it is actually very important. The cayenne actually helps to break down the mucus and promote a healthy blood flow. Beside this, it is also a rich source of Vitamins B and C. If you wish to add flavor to the lemonade, just use decaffeinated tea because caffeine constrict the blood vessels. During the master cleanse, we actually wishes to promote a good flow of the blood so that the waste and toxin can be easily removed from the body.

To control your hunger pangs, you can try using Hoodia but follow the recommended dosage. If you are tired of drinking lemonade, you can also switch to natural laxative. Another thing is that psyllium husk can also assist in removing the hardened feces in the body.

There are basically 3 kinds of natural laxatives which are recommended o be used with the master cleanse. They are herbal laxative tea, psyllium husk and sea salts. These are some of the best methods of for cleaning your intestines without using enemas. Just use the laxative twice daily, together with the master cleanse and you will get maximum benefit. As mentioned earlier, just make sure you drink a lot of water to counter the effects of dehydrations while using the master cleanse diet.

If you really want to get ripped, you will need strong determination and will power. It is very important to have strong will power and determination to build a well toned muscular body. It is common for people to be excited when they first start a workout routine, but the drive to continue the effort subsides as it becomes apparent the goals take hard work to reach. You're not alone in this, but if you work hard and remain focused, you will press on.

Keeping a routine in life is something that you need to keep in mind. If being a successful bodybuilder is your goal, leading a sloppy, careless life is the best way to fail. You need to follow a routine life to get the best results out of your bodybuilding program.

Your muscles will only grow if you have a routine that is structured for each muscle. Each muscle workout program is designed for that muscle. And if you don't have the right routine it will not work. So make sure you join a gym and follow the workout program prescribed to you by your instructor, also remember, practicing the wrong workouts is not going to do you much good.

If you don't give your body the nutrients it needs and rest enough, and think that all you have to do is perform your workout in the gym, you are highly mistaken. We need to have water for almost everything that we do during life. It also helps in boosting your bodybuilding process. Drinking 8-9 glasses of water per day is very essential. Water helps to keep your body running the right way.

Sleeping is another factor that you just can't afford to neglect come what may. Your tissues undergo wear and tear while you are working out, therefore, when you are sleeping your body gets the amount of rest that is required for repairing your tissues.
